Summer Ball

We are holding a Charity Summer Ball here at The Brit on Saturday 15th August 2015 which will be a black tie event.

The money we hope to raise is for a fantastic cause and could not be more local to us here at the Brit. Angharad and Craig who live just 300 meters away are raising money for their daughter Ellie who has Cerebral Palsy. They have already raised the £3,000 needed for her consultation but still need to raise a whopping £67,000 for an operation to help Ellie walk, something most of us take for granted every day.

The Summer Ball is also a great opportunity for our friends and customers to get dressed up and thoroughly enjoy themselves.

Proceedings shall start from 7pm with Bellini’s on arrival. The dining room will be set out with an elegant and delicious finger buffet and just like our menu the food will all be made fresh here on the premises. . We are hoping to have a dance area in the snug and a marquee set up in the garden as the weather hasn’t been very predictable this year.

We have the wonderful velvet voiced Paddy Edgar back to entertain, and anyone that was here for New Year’s Eve will remember how good he is.

There will also be a raffle to help raise money for Ellie and so far we have some great prizes.

1.The owner of The Pretty Dress Company has kindly offered to send us one of her beautiful dresses.

2. 2 months free membership at Energie Fitness Club Port Talbot.

3. Vintage cake stand made with vintage china.

4. 4 free fitness classes with Evanly Bodies Fitness Classes in Cwmafan.

5. Makeup from celebrity makeup artist Karleigh Marsh by beauty brand Arbonne.

6. Framed anthropological animal prints.

7. Earlybird Meal for 2 at The Brit.

There are also a few other prizes that we shall announce on the day.

Dress code for the evening is full length evening or cocktail dress for the ladies and black tie or smart suit for the fellas. Go on get yer glad rags on, come and have a fab night and let’s help raise some money for a worthwhile cause.
